Posted on 03/03/2010 in Scientific PerkinElmer has released an enhanced version of its Clarus Gas Chromatograph (GC) system, which is designed to be more efficient and user-friendly than ever.
The science company's Clarus 680 GC incorporates a new column oven, refined capillary inlets and selective detectors, with a Swafer microchannel flow control system also offered as an option.
These enhancements are designed to increase the productivity of the system while also making it more flexible and easy to use.
Eric Ziegler, vice president of chromatography and mass spectrometry for PerkinElmer's analytical sciences and laboratory services division, stated this will be of benefit to clients using the devices in forensic lab applications.
He said: "The new flagship Clarus 680 GC is designed to deliver not only higher levels of performance, but greater sample analysis throughput and operational simplicity."
This new device was demonstrated at the Pittcon industry event, where the company also showcased the TG-GC/MS Hyphenated System, which combines the Clarus 680 GC with a thermogravimetric analyser for evolved gas analysis.Other news stories from 03/03/2010
