Posted on 03/03/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures Cook Medical has appointed Veda Walcott as the new vice-president of quality and corporate compliance officer of its Cook Pharmica division.
Ms Walcott will take up the role at the biopharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing-oriented business unit after accruing experience in positions at firms such as Baxter BioPharma Solutions and Barnard Associates.
She has been employed by Cook Pharmica since 2005 and will now take responsibility for the division's compliance with quality standards, as well as its regulatory and validation support activities.
Tedd Green, president of Cook Pharmica, hailed the contribution Ms Walcott has made to the company thus far and expressed confidence in her further success.
He said: "Her leadership of the quality unit and her contribution to the senior management team are critical to the continued success of Cook Pharmica."
Last month, Cook Medical received an endorsement of the efficacy of its Biodesign Inguinal hernia graft treatment system in a new clinical study.Other news stories from 03/03/2010
