Thermo Fisher to showcase new products at trade event
Thermo Fisher is to attend an industry event this week in order to showcase its newest advances in laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
The science company will be present at Pittcon 2010 to demonstrate forthcoming devices with applications in research fields such as mass spectrometry and X-ray analysis.
Among the technology on display will be the TSQ QuantumXLS gas chromatography-mass spectrometry system, which offers sensitive quantitative GC triple quadrupole analyses, as well as the ion trap technology-based LTQ Velos platform.
Other devices which have been confirmed for the show are the Niton XL2 series X-ray analysers, as well as new Thermo Scientific laboratory workstations, fume hoods and accessories.
Marc Casper, president and chief executive officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: “We are in the unique position of not only helping our customers to improve the quality of research, but also driving their productivity through improved workflows and operating processes.”
Last week, Thermo Fisher expanded its portfolio further through the completion of its buyout of handheld Raman and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy instrument specialist Ahura Scientific.
