Prior Scientific slide loader system wins award

Prior Scientific has won an industry award in recognition of the performance of its slide loaders system for laboratories.

The PL-200 Slide Loader System, which allows for automatic slide handling in microscope applications, has been named as the winner of the 2009 Laboratory Equipment Readers’ Choice Award in the automation category.

It is designed to make the process of digitally imaging microscope specimens easier by automatically loading and scanning slides at higher speeds than would ordinarily be possible.

The device is also optimised to provide high slide capacities, allowing 100 2×3 slides or 200 1×3 slides to be handled at the same time.

Prior said: “Featuring higher slide capacity, smaller footprint and faster slide changing times, the PL-200 provides complete walk away convenience.”

In December 2009, the science company launched the H117P2IX, a new flat-top stage designed for use with its Olympus IX microscopes, with the product having been optimised for use in prolonged live cell studies.
