Elsevier Science introduces new electronic medical resources
Elsevier Science is to launch a new range of electronic resources designed for use by medical students.
The medical information company will be attending a forthcoming industry event to showcase the new range, which includes means of electronic access to key resources such as Netter’s Atlas of Human Anatomy.
Among the products to be introduced are StudentConsult, which provides study tools such as image banks, textbooks and questions, while InteractElsevier uses 3D virtual reality to offer recreations of anatomy models and dissections.
Randy Charles, managing director for the Elsevier Health Sciences global clinical reference group, said this was indicative of its commitment to supporting the “passion, professionalism [and] pride” of medical students.
He added: “No matter what the preferences of today’s medical students, Elsevier has the resources to meet their learning styles, study schedules and budgets.”
Earlier this month, the company won recognition at the PROSE Awards for its healthcare-focused e-products, such as 3D neuroscience research tool BrainNavigator.
