Siemens launches new laboratory data management system

Siemens has released a new version of its laboratory data management system, which it claims will offer a number of benefits to those in the healthcare sector.
The latest version of the company's Advia CentraLink Data Management System is designed to be a secure and integrated software solution which allows technicians to review a range of data simultaneously.
According the firm, the newest update to the system also offers more connectivity, better remote access options and more flexible quality control systems.
It said this will make the Advia system an appealing option for medical facilities aiming to use automation to streamline their reporting capabilities and sample management.
The company added that it is "the central platform for consolidating lab data and automating workflow activities, ensuring faster, more accurate data delivery".
Earlier this month, Siemens launched the VersaCell system, an automated unit designed to make diagnostic tests easier to perform.
