Horiba announces availability of the DynaMyc

10 February 2010 00:00 in Scientific

Horiba this week announced the availability of DynaMyc, a product it claims is its fastest microfluorescence dynamics imaging system yet.

The equipment allows for mapping fluorescence dynamics, which yields information regarding molecular motion, size, local environment, interaction and binding - with discrimination to microscopic locations in the sample.

Lifetime measurements also cut out fluorescence artefacts, such as non-uniform label loading, the company explained.

"With the new DynaMyc, Fluorescence dynamics on the picoseconds to microsecond range are now easily accessible to novices and advanced users alike," Horiba stated.

This is due to the organisation's specialist knowledge in Time Correlated Single Photon Counting technology and its new range of PicoBright high-repetition rate laser diodes.

Meanwhile, the company announced the launch of another piece of equipment last week - its compact chemistry analyser the Pentra C200.

The equipment aims to provide laboratories with a cost-effective option for automation, ergonomics and high-quality results.
