| Huntsworth Health PR chief to step down | Posted on 10/02/2010 in Marketing Services Huntsworth Health's European chief executive Sandy Royden is set to depart the company at the end of March.
The PR boss is leaving her role to take maternity leave but will not return to the agency, where she has worked since May 2005.
"It has been a difficult decision, but I am also delighted to announce that I'm expecting a baby in early June," Ms Royden told PR Week.
She explained that Huntsworth's ongoing global expansion, which is expected to create the need for "more transatlantic travel", would make the role incompatible with her status as a new mother.
The company's global chief executive Neil Matheson paid tribute to Ms Royden's achievements.
"Sandy's leadership over the past few years has been a major factor in the success of Huntsworth Health Europe," he commented.
The agency recently completed a global reorganisation of its services, with Tonic Life Communications becoming the dominant PR operation at Huntsworth after it was acquired by the group in July 2009.
