Procter and Gamble announces sponsorship of Dental Summary Review

Posted on 09/02/2010 in Dental Supplier News

Procter and Gamble has announced that it will sponsor the Dental Summary Review in a bid to offer those in the sector some guidance on which materials may be the most suitable for them.

The company, which manufactures several dental care brands, such as Oral B and Crest, stated that dentists can spend a lot of time sifting through journals and magazines to determine what may and may not be of use to them.

Editor of the publication Dr Stephen Hancocks has highlighted a collection of 31 new studies reported in the dental literature publication.

"This digest of high-quality research is categorised by topic area so you can efficiently review the material," the company pointed out to practitioners.

It added that it hopes that the service will add value to the professional development of dental surgeries, as well as their level of patient care.

Last month, Procter and Gamble pointed to the results of a study it undertook jointly with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

It found that 9,000 genes - nearly 30 per cent of the number contained in the human body - are expressed differently during the onset and healing process of gingivitis.
