Posted on 05/02/2010 in Scientific Waters has announced the availability of its ACQUITY UPLC H-Class System, which is designed for those working in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
The new offering incorporates the performance of ACQUITY UltraPerformance LC (UPLC) with the operational familiarity of traditional HPLC.
This combination is designed to help more laboratories achieve the scientific and business benefits of sub-2-micron particle column technology by making it more accessible to a wider range of industries.
Emulating HPLC workflows, it is designed to make method transfer from HPLC to UPLC easier and allows organisations to standardise their approach to LC with a common technology platform.
Art Caputo, president of the Waters division, commented: "The immediate next step for UPLC was to more closely link UPLC and HPLC to improve data quality, increase sample throughput and reduce cost per analysis across a broader range of markets."
In other Waters news, the firm unveiled its financial results for the final quarter of 2009 last week, revealing sales of $429 million (265.7 million pounds) for the timeframe. Other news stories from 05/02/2010
