Posted on 05/02/2010 in Animal Health Supplier News Virbac Animal Health has launched its CET Pet Home Dental Care Programme, highlighting the importance of oral care for those who keep animals.
The firm introduced the scheme in a bid to tackle the prevalence of periodontal disease, which it stated is the most common infectious disease in companion animals, but can be helped with improved dental hygiene.
"Pet owners need to know how easy it can be to prevent, just by making their pet's dental care part of their daily routine," explained Denise Skurdalsvold, senior marketing manager for Virbac Animal Health.
The new programme, which is available through veterinarians, offers a choice of three options that can be combined for maximum results - CET Chews, AQUADENT Drinking Water Additive and tooth brushing.
In December, Virbac Animal Health launched two online educational courses as part of its CET Pet Dental Care Module, which address the proper dental hygiene maintenance of animals. Other news stories from 05/02/2010
