Posted on 05/02/2010 in Dental Supplier News Sirona Dental Systems has revealed that two of its products have been bestowed with 2009 Good Design Awards - the CEREC AC and the SIROLaser Advance.
The items, which were devised by Sirona and the Germany-based Puls Design, were two of the record number of submissions the body received last year.
Overall, 500 of these accolades were handed out among them.
A digital impression unit, the CEREC AC is designed for maximum precision, speed and ease of use in dental CAD/CAM technology.
Meanwhile, the SIROLaser Advance dental soft tissue laser combines cutting-edge laser technology with features aimed to provide maximum portability, ergonomics and user-friendliness.
The Good Design Awards were established by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann in 1950 and recognise innovation and originality on an international scale.
Last November, Sirona highlighted the rewards dental practitioners can gain by using its product NitraDem Direct Connect - a piece of equipment that is designed to supply fully demineralised water to autoclaves. Other news stories from 05/02/2010
