| DDB produces face equality campaign | Posted on 01/02/2010 in Marketing Services DDB UK is working alongside the Changing Faces charity on a new campaign to promote face equality.
A series of posters featuring four children with facial disfigurements has been produced in an attempt to challenge discrimination against people with physical differences.
According to Changing Faces, one in 111 people in the UK live with some kind of significant disfigurement to their face.
Commenting on the campaign, the charity's Winnie Coutinho said: "The children in our posters radiate a positive sense of themselves, which we hope will encourage people to re-evaluate any limiting assumptions that they might have had about people with disfigurements."
The posters feature the faces of Max, Lucas, Harry and Lauren, who are all aged between nine and 13 years old.
DDB and Changing Faces have also produced a 30-minute documentary to support the initiative, which has recently received coverage on BBC News and in the national press.
Earlier this month, the posters appeared at tube stations across the capital after London Underground donated 430 advertising spaces to the campaign.
