Posted on 28/01/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News EUSA Pharma has announced the launch of a new website designed to help oral mucositis (OM) sufferers and their carers.
The company's Caphosol product sponsors mouthsmadegood.com, which offers information on symptoms, the potential consequences of having the condition, who is most at risk of getting it and OM management strategies.
Ian McGill, EUSA Pharma's president for Europe and international markets, said that OM - a common side effect of cancer therapy - can be "devastating" for sufferers.
"We hope we've provided a useful and informative forum, where people can share their own insights and help others overcome this lesser-known side effect of cancer treatment," he remarked.
Caphosal, which is designed for the treatment of OM, is one of eight products offered by EUSA Pharma, which specialises in the fields of critical care, pain control and oncology.
Kidrolase, Erwinlase, ProstaScint and Quadramet are all used to help treat cancer sufferers.Other news stories from 28/01/2010
