The 11th installation of the company's annual prize-giving initiative recognises achievements across four categories - vet of the year, receptionist of the year, vet nurse of the year and practice of the year.
Work colleagues and customers can recommend winners using the organisation's website and take advantage of the opportunity to highlight people's efforts in the field.
Petplan's marketing manager Alison Andrew stated: "Nominating your colleagues for an award is a fantastic way of expressing your appreciation for their hard work. The [?] annual Petplan Veterinary Awards will bestow great accolades upon the stars of the industry."
Winners may even witness an increase in business and a reputation boost, as Ian Patterson, a partner at the St Clair Veterinary Group in Fife, told Petplan that being named the 2009 practice of the year has had a positive impact on the centre.
