The organisation held its inaugural European meeting at the Royal College of Physicians on January 20th, with about 120 members of the medical communications and publishing industry in attendance.
Commenting on the conference, Caudex described the presentations and panel discussions as "very successful", while revealing that a highlights newsletter will soon be available to download.
The meeting included an interactive discussion chaired by the ISMPP's Chris Graf on the recent changes to Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
Keeping the focus on GPP, Liz Wager from the Committee on Publication Ethics gave a historical perspective on the events preceding the original GPP guidelines, which were released in 2003.
The conference also featured debates on the future of scientific communications and the involvement of marketing in publication planning and delivery.
