Posted on 26/01/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Financials Amgen has posted its financial results for the final quarter of 2009, revealing a revenue increase of two per cent during the timeframe.
The company's revenue rose from to $3,751 million (2,312 million pounds) in the fourth quarter of 2008 to $3,809 million for the period.
During the period, total product sales also increased by two per cent to $3,743 million, up from the $3,674 reported during the correlating quarter of 2008. For the full year, international sales underwent little change, standing at $3,216 million, compared to $3,227 million in the prior year.
Kevin Sharer, chairman and chief executive officer of Amgen, declared: "We delivered solid performance in 2009 and look forward to growing our top and bottom line meaningfully in 2010. We are ready and look forward to launching denosumab worldwide this year."
