| Ecolab announces Haiti earthquake relief donations | Posted on 25/01/2010 in Pharmacy Supplier News Ecolab announced this week that it will allocate more than $500,000 (310,520 pounds) to the earthquake relief efforts currently taking place in Haiti.
It will donate the money through product contributions, as well as a special associate matching gift programme operated by the Ecolab Foundation.
Cleaning and sterilising products will be offered by the organisation to help meet needs in Haiti - including both hand and surface sanitisers, the company revealed.
Douglas Baker, Ecolab's chairman of the board, president and chief executive, said that the organisation's products are needed at the present time by foundations helping to offer relief to survivors of the natural disaster.
He added: "Ecolab, along with our global associates, is pleased to be able to send our products and dollars to provide assistance to the people of Haiti."
Ecolab, which has a base in Sutton, provides hand wash, surgical scrubs, cleaning and disinfection products for the processing of surgical instruments and hard surface disinfection.Other news stories from 25/01/2010
