Posted on 21/01/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News Almirall has highlighted the success of a psychiatry convergence which it recently hosted in Barcelona for professionals in their field.
The meeting saw the attendance of more than 300 experts in psychiatry and was the ninth installation of the event.
Among the issues discussed were the latest treatments, new research, application in clinical practice, treatment of depression in elderly patients, the administering of psychotropic drugs and treatment risk situations.
"This meeting gives us the chance to share the most recent research and the clinical experience of the experts participating, so that we can incorporate these in our routine daily clinical management," explained Dr Miquel Roca of the Juan March Hospital in Palma de Mallorca.
Italian specialist Salvatore Gentile, Dr Luis Pacheco of the CSM Bilbao Centro and Robin Murray, professor of psychiatry at London's Institute of Psychiatry, were among those giving talks at the event.
