Parexel confirms date for next financial results

Parexel has announced that it will release its latest set of financial results later this month.

The pharmaceutical services company said that figures for the second quarter of fiscal year 2010 will be published on its website after the close of trading on Monday January 25th.

A conference call and live webcast will be held the following day to discuss the results with investors, beginning at 10:00 EST (15:00 GMT).

Parexel reported its first-quarter results in October 2009, with service revenue declining by 1.2 per cent to reach $259.8 million (163 million pounds) in the three months to September 30th.

The firm also posted operating income of $18.5 million during the period, compared with a figure of $22 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Despite acknowledging the “difficult market environment for both our industry and our company”, Paraxel chairman and chief executive Josef von Rickenbach said that data showed “promising signs of stabilisation” for the firm.
