| Parexel subsidiary integrates clinical tools | Posted on 29/12/2009 in Marketing Services Parexel has announced that two of the clinical trial services offered by its subsidiary company Perceptive Informatics are set to converge.
According to the firm, improved functionality in the DataLabs EDC solution and the ClinPhone Randomisation and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) technologies will allow for increased integration.
This will lead to a simplified workflow, which should make it easier for clinical site personnel to use both products together within a single clinical trial, thereby randomising and dispensing medication in real time.
"We are continuing to blur the boundaries between our EDC and RTSM solutions," commented Bill Byrom, senior director of product strategy at Perceptive Informatics.
He added that the convergence of the two systems "represents a radical shift in the way technologies can be used together to accelerate clinical trials".
Last month, Paraxel announced details of a new alliance with Mortara Instrument, a manufacturer of electrocardiogram devices and related technology.
