| The General Dental Council marks 1st birthday of website | Posted on 21/12/2009 in Dental / Dental Practitioner News The General Dental Council (GDC) is celebrating the first birthday of its internet resource eGDC-uk.org.
It has marked the occasion by outlining the benefits of the online hub - which adds up continuing professional development (CPD) hours for dentists and allows them to access information efficiently.
The GDC also claims that it helps to save them money by eliminating the need for traditional post and reducing the costs of admin.
"For those dental professionals looking to use it for submitting your CPD hours, eGDC will show all of your CPD hours, even if that information has previously been submitted on a paper form," stated Anne Gerulat, processing manager of the organisation.
The GDC regulates dental professionals in the UK and in order to work in the country, dentists, nurses, technicians, clinical technicians hygienists, therapists and orthodontic therapists working in the industry must be registered with it.Other news stories from 21/12/2009
