Posted on 21/12/2009 in Medical Company Restructures Boston Scientific has recruited a new member to its board of directors, it has revealed.
The company has welcomed Nelda Connors into its ranks, who is currently the president of the electrical and metal products division of Tyco International.
Ms Connors has previously held posts at companies such as the Eaton Corporation, Ford, Chrysler and Mogami Denki.
She also holds degrees in mechanical engineering.
Pete Nicholas, chairman of the board of Boston Scientific, said: "Nelda will bring an impressive range of global management experience to our Board. She is a highly accomplished executive who has successfully led diverse business units on three continents."
In other company news, Boston Scientific revealed last month that it would sponsor World Diabetes Day 2009 after also offering it financial support in 2008.
Organised by the International Diabetes Foundation the day highlights the organisation's efforts to raise awareness of the condition around the world.
