Beckman Coulter inks deal with CompuCyte
Beckman Coulter has entered into a five-year global distribution deal with CompuCyte, it has announced.
Under the terms of the agreement, the scientific organisation explained that it will have the rights to distribute CompuCyte’s laser scanning cytometers in cellular analysis markets around the globe.
Commenting on the news, Dr Elena Holden, president and chief executive officer at ComputCyte, said that the new alliance is based on a “great synergy” between the two organisations.
Brad Calvin, vice-president for flow cytometry at Beckman Coulter, added: “This will enable us to provide researchers around the world with a broad range of technology for cell-based research from a single service provider.”
He also said that the deal provides the firm with a sophisticated imaging platform that “nicely complements” its growing product portfolio in the flow cyotmetry sector.
Last month, Beckman Coulter announced that availability of its Kaluza Flow Cytometry Analysis Software, which has the capacity to reduce both analysis and processing times.
