Sartorius extends appointment of Dr Joachim Kreuzburg

Sartorius' supervisory board has announced the extension of the appointment of the group's chief executive officer Dr Joachim Kreuzburg.
The scientific organisation issued a release explaining that the decision was taken at a meeting in recent days and the decision to extend Dr Kreuzburg's appointment was a unanimous one.
As such, Dr Kreuzburg will now serve as the group's chief executive officer for another five-year period, which will end on November 10th 2015.
Sartorius noted that Dr Kreuzburg has been a member of the company's executive board since November 11th 2002.
He has held the position of chief executive since May 1st 2003.
In recent weeks, the firm presented its nine-month financial figures for 2009, announcing that its biotechnology division's operational earnings recorded a "significantly overproportionate improvement" as it rose to 46.3 million euros (41.2 million pounds) for the period.
