Posted on 15/12/2009 in Scientific Agilent has launched its latest scientific product - the 7000B Triple Quadrupole Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS).
The product delivers high confidence in ultra-trace level results, the firm revealed, while shortening analysis times for target compounds in complex samples.
Furthermore, the Agilent 7000B provides femtogram-level sensitivity for the analysis of pesticides, pyrethroids, and steroids in food, environmental, pharmaceutical, and forensic matrices, it added.
Terry Sheehan, Agilent's GC/MS product manager, commented: "We've designed the Agilent 7000B GC/MS/MS to deliver the precision needed to make accurate qualitative and quantitative decisions even at dwell times as small as one millisecond."
He added that the launch marks the alteration of firm's performance emphasis "from signal-to-noise to precision".
This is not the only product the firm has released on to the scientific instruments market of late.
Agilent introduced GeneSpring 11 last week ? a piece of equipment that embodies the latest developments in the company's desktop software for visualising and analysing microarray data.Other news stories from 15/12/2009
