| Red Door Communications director leaves for rival agency | Posted on 14/12/2009 in Marketing Services Red Door Communications is saying goodbye to its head of consumer Jane Seaton, who is leaving the firm to join Tonic Life Communications.
Ms Seaton will take up the newly-created role of director of lifestyle and is due to start work at Tonic Life in February, PR Week reports.
The former associate director at Cohn & Wolfe will report to agency founders Oliver Parsons and Scott Clark, who said that they are aiming to "significantly up-weight our consumer lifestyle offering" following the new appointment.
Tonic Life, whose current clients include Johnson & Johnson and GlaxoSmithKline, was acquired by Huntsworth Health in a buyout worth £3 million earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Red Door's managing director Catherine Warne told PR Week that the agency will not seek a direct replacement for Ms Seaton.
Instead, it is aiming to appoint a "senior communicator" with specialist healthcare expertise to lead a new business unit.
"We are looking for someone who has consumer health insight and prescription- only medicine experience," Ms Warne said.
