Sartorius has announced the availability of FlexAct - its new system for pre-configured single-use solutions to meet the process requirements of biomanufacturers.
The product enables these sector professionals to make use of integrated equipment in both downstream and upstream processing.
It is also a full workstation that allows scientists to design flexible and efficient production processes with disposable unit operations, the firm highlights.
FlexAct BP - the first member of the product series - prepares buffers integral to the stabilisation of target molecules and is based on a multifunctional central operating module.
Also included within the system is the FlexAct LevMixer, which is a weighing device that comes complete with multiple bag assembly functions.
This news comes after Sartorius announced in October that its order intake stood at 303.4 million euros (271.9 million pounds) during the first nine months of 2009.
This represents an increase of 12.7 per cent compared to the same time in 2008.
