Posted on 11/12/2009 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures Chugai has revealed that several changes are set to take place within its ranks and will be initiated from January 1st 2010.
A reorganisation of the firm's corporate staff will take place, the pharmaceutical organisation revealed, with supervisory divisions to be established to ensure that closely-related duties are better consolidated.
Additionally, heads of supervisory divisions will be established and will be take on authority and responsibility for a wide range of roles.
Yoshio Itaya, the organisation's current vice-president and general manager of corporate planning department, will take on the additional responsibility of acting as the general manager of corporate planning supervisory division at the company.
Osamu Nagayama, the firm's chief operating officer and its board's representative director, will also take on extra responsibilities within the supervisory division.
Meanwhile, Chugai and Biocomber have executed a license agreement on a patent owned by the latter company, it was announced this week.
As part of the contract, Chugai will use PURESYSTEM - which is a reconstituted Escherichia coli in vitro translation system owned by BioComber - to boost its drug discovery efforts into antibodies and other substances.Other news stories from 11/12/2009
