Posted on 10/12/2009 in Medical Company Restructures Fresenius Medical Care had revealed alterations to its management board, with the intention of focusing more on the existing strengths of its key members.
It has extended the contract of its current chairman Dr Ben Lipps until December 31st 2012, as well as appointing a deputy chairman - Rice Powell.
Additionally, the organisation has recruited a new chief financial officer and has created a new medical care management board position for global manufacturing operations.
This is to enable its regional chief executive officers to expand the company's renal therapy and service business.
As well as these alterations, co-chief executive officer of Fresenius Medical Care Mats Wahlstrom has informed the organisation that he will reduce his responsibilities as of January 2010.
Meanwhile, the firm's parent company Fresenius Kabi AG announced in November that its net income reached 136 million euros (123 million pounds) during the first nine months of 2009.
This is compared to 149 million euros during the same period of 2008.
