Posted on 09/12/2009 in Scientific Waters, a provider of scientific products, has shipped its first batch of SYNAPT G2 Mass Spectrometers to Europe, it has revealed.
The instruments are bound for key academic research centres across the continent, as well as global pharmaceutical companies and chemical research laboratories in the EU.
According to the firm, the SYNAPT G2 boasts higher resolution, orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight technology and a wider quantitative dynamic range than the earlier edition of the product.
It also features next-generation ion mobility separations technology that separates similar sample components, the organisation added.
Brian Smith, vice-president of mass spectrometry business operations at Waters, commented: "We're very pleased by the overwhelming response of research scientists to the technology. SYNAPT G2 creates new opportunities for them to solve fundamental research challenges."
Last month, Waters' ACQUITY UPLC technology was involved in a trial exploring rapid screening methods for Alkylphenols and Bisphenol A.Other news stories from 09/12/2009
