The paper reveals that the company's net product sales rose by five per cent during the timeframe, a figure which it claims is better than the overall growth of the European pharmaceuticals industry as a whole.
Norgine's two largest products - MOVICOL and MOVIPREP - continued to display strong growth last year, the organisation revealed.
Sales of MOVICOL grew by a further 13 per cent in equivalent units as Norgine extended the use of the product to new patient groups.
Similarly, despite MOVICOL having been on sale since 1995, the firm has invested time and funds into to renew the clinical data supporting the product's use and to develop new and improved presentations.
Peter Stein, chairman of Norgine, stated: "In spite of the turbulent environment, Norgine stayed focused upon delivering long-term value and our core philosophy and strategic objectives remain unchanged."
Earlier this month, Norgine announced the appointment of its new director, Dr Yvonne Lam.Other news stories from 07/12/2009
