| Lab21 acquires Delphic Diagnostics | Posted on 02/12/2009 in Scientific Lab21 has revealed that it will acquire the assets and business of Delphic Diagnostics ? a specialist firm that provides laboratory services and works in the areas of HIV and hepatitis.
The firm went into administration and is currently under the control of BDO LLP.
Delphic Diagnostics has bases in Liverpool and Kent and focuses on personalised medicine and companion diagnostics for virology, pharmacology, therapeutic drug monitoring and specialist clinical trial services.
This marks the third acquisition made by Lab21 this year, as it strives to expand its expertise and presence in various markets.
Chief financial officer of Lab21 Maddy Kennedy said: "This purchase of the Delphic business and assets is expected to contribute substantial sales in 2010 and to be accretive to Lab21's earnings from early next year."
