Entitled the AVEENO TerraCycle Beauty Brigades, the programme will see the formation of groups that will work to collect empty AVEENO tubes from its sun care, facial care and body care products.
For each tube collected, the firm will donate money to a charity of the group's choice, or the Skin Cancer Foundation.
"It's through our collaboration with partners like TerraCycle that makes it possible for us to expand our commitment to sustainability, giving back to the community and improving our environment," explained AVEENO brand group product director Michael Marquis.
In other Johnson and Johnson news, the firm revealed last week that its division Advanced Sterilistion Products - which is owned by the subsidiary Ethicon - has agreed to acquire Gloster Europe.
