Posted on 25/11/2009 in Medical Company Product News Johnson and Johnson division Advanced Sterilistion Products (ASP), which is owned by the subsidiary Ethicon, has announced its acquisition of Gloster Europe.
The latter firm manufactures cutting-edge disinfection processes and technologies, which are designed to prevent infections acquired in healthcare environments, such as waiting rooms and operating theatres.
Its area decontamination product sprays a fine mist of hydrogen peroxide on surfaces for thorough disinfection and has been found to tackle MRSA and C.difficile in the past.
Chuck Austin, worldwide president of ASP, stated: "ASP is proud to offer patients who need hospital care greater peace of mind, knowing their room has the added infection protection benefit of this advanced and automated disinfection technology."
Earlier this month, Johnson and Johnson revealed its financial results for the third quarter of 2009, revealing sales of sales reached $15.1 billion (9.43 billion pounds) for the period.
