Posted on 20/11/2009 in Scientific PerkinElmer has revealed the details of a supplying agreement with Gilson, which will see it provide the firm with mass spectrometry technology as part of a new partnership.
The collaboration between the companies will see them work together to provide new solutions for fraction collection and liquid chromatography.
A dedicated single quadrupole mass spectrometer, which will be utilised by Gilson in its preparative chromatography systems, will be provided by PerkinElmer as part of the terms.
Eric Ziegler, vice-president of chromatography and mass spectrometry at PerkinElmer, commented: "Our pharmaceutical and biotech customers demand expertise, reliability and performance. Through this reseller agreement, we will continue to provide Gilson customers with the best purification solutions on the market."
Earlier this month, PerkinElmer's Automated GSP Genetic Screening Processor, which makes it easier for labs to analyse medical conditions in newborns, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
