The Scrip Award is voted for by a judging panel comprised of professionals from global pharmaceutical firms and includes criteria such as a company's performance, revenue growth, shareholder value and possible new deals.
Reasons cited for Archimedes Pharma's success include the popularity of its NasalFent spray, which is designed to relieve pain in cancer sufferers.
Chief executive officer of Archimedes Pharma Richard de Souza said: "2009 has been a tough year for the life sciences sector, but against this backdrop we have worked extremely hard to meet key milestones for the company and its shareholders."
