Ms Jones is departing to take up a new account director role at Cohn & Wolfe, joining the 35-strong healthcare practice at the firm, PR Week reports.
During her time at Red Door Communications, Ms Jones built up substantial expertise in campaigns relating to the oncology and cardiovascular therapy areas.
She started her career in Australia as part of Edelman's healthcare team and later became a member of the corporate affairs department at Eli Lilly.
Ms Jones will be one of two new account directors at Cohn & Wolfe, with Isabelle Scali also heading to the agency from Weber Shandwick in Brussels.
Earlier this year, Red Door Communications was named by PR Week as one of the UK's top five healthcare agencies according to fee income.
Managing director Catherine Warne said that the firm's longstanding aim is to be "the best and not the biggest".
