Posted on 18/11/2009 in Dental Supplier News Philips Oral Healthcare's Oral B Smile-Stages Scrapblog has been praised by one dentist for encouraging children to take better care of their teeth.
According to Dr Jennifer Salzer, tooth decay is a common condition among young youngsters, so anything that prompts them into looking after their teeth is welcomed by the dental community.
She added: "Oral-B Stages is helping to make oral care fun, while also reminding parents that their children's beautiful smiles can be maintained by encouraging proper oral care habits early on in life."
The Smile Stages Scrapblog, which is based online, allows children and families to work together to post pictures of their dental progress.
A background theme can be chosen by users and can be based around special times of year, such as Christmas and Halloween, when the eating of sweets is more likely.
At the beginning of last month, Philips launched the SoniCare FlexCare+ toothbrush - which is designed to encourage people to allocate more time to brushing.
