The list is collated by the Carbon Disclosure Project and highlights companies that have exceptional strategies and information disclosure, based on the results of yearly questionnaires.
In 2009, the survey was distributed among approximately 4,000 organisations.
According to Takeda, it is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas output and believes that this is one of its "most important responsibilities".
"Takeda will remain committed to reducing CO2 emissions, while at the same time ensuring the transparency of its endeavours through proactive disclosure," the firm stated.
In other Takeda news, the firm signed an agreement with fellow pharmaceutical firm Amylin earlier this month for the joint development of products to treat obesity and its related conditions.
