| DDB UK wins Unilever account | Posted on 11/11/2009 in Marketing Services DDB UK has been appointed as the lead creative agency on a new marketing campaign for Unilever's Flora/Becel brands.
Having won the account from the incumbent agency BBH in an intensive pitch process, DDB will be charged with promoting the health benefits of the margarine spread.
Stephen Woodford, chairman and chief executive of DDB UK, described Flora as "one of the most significant food brands in the world".
He added: "No other product makes such a profound difference to heart health. We are delighted to have been chosen to be Unilever's partner in building on its success."
A spokesperson for Unilever said that DDB will develop a new TV and print campaign for Flora - sold under the brand name Becel in countries such as Brazil, Portugal and Canada - that will be launched in 2010.
According to the firm, clinical trials have shown that no other food is more effective at reducing cholesterol levels than Flora pro-activ spread.
