Posted on 10/11/2009 in Dental Supplier News Sirona has highlighted the rewards dental practitioners could gain by using NitraDem Direct Connect - a piece of equipment that it claims supplies high-quality, fully demineralised water to autoclaves.
According to the firm, the product extends the service life of these sterilisation devices and helps to lighten the workload of practices.
It is designed for direct connection to all-in-one dental autoclaves such as the DAC UNIVERSAL and is currently the only system of its kind which conforms to the European water quality standard DIN/EN1717.
Combined, its package and the sterilisation unit form an independent system which eradicates the need for manual water replenishment, therefore reducing the workload of dental professionals.
Additionally, it monitors the water quality continuously, lengthening autoclaves and dental instruments' life span and therefore reducing the need for repairs.
Another product that Sirona has released of late is its XIOSPLUS intraoral sensor system, which allows practitioners "the freedom and flexibility of capturing quality digital X-rays by using either an Ethernet or USB module", according to the firm.
