Posted on 06/11/2009 in Medical Company Financials 3M Health Care this week published its financial results for the third quarter of 2009, revealing that sales increased during the period by 4.7 per cent compared to the same time in 2008.
Overall, its sales hit $1.1 billion (662.4 million pounds), this sum being impacted negatively by 3.1 per cent due to currencies.
Some of the areas in which the firm experienced success were wound and skin care, infection prevention and oral health.
George Buckley, 3M chairman, president and chief executive officer, said that the sales, which were higher than anticipated, pay testimony to the company's strong business model.
He continued: "At the same time, we continued to invest in research and development, improving our supply chains and strengthening our brands and customer relationships, which will position us well as economies improve."
In September, 3M Health Care gave its customers the opportunity to earn around £300 in credits to go towards the purchase of the brand new Ortholux Luminous Curing Light or the Ortholux LED Curing Light.
