The firm came out on top in the Best e-Business/IT Strategy category after an independent panel of judges praised its use of eClinical technologies.
Perceptive Informatics' winning entry was entitled Gaining a Complete Trial Picture to Make More Effective Decisions in Real-Time: Realising Key Benefits of a Truly Integrated eClinical Solution.
Kevin Robinson, head of the judging panel and editor of Pharma magazine, commended the company for its "well thought-through and executed strategy" which addressed "not only the deployment of technology but also its effective uptake by users".
Perceptive was presented with the award at the European Outsourcing Awards 2009 Gala in Madrid last month.
The awards were established to recognise outstanding contract service achievements in several areas of the biopharmaceutical industry, including technology.
Other winners at this year's ceremony included Baxter Healthcare, which received the award for Most Effective Scale-Up/Tech Transfer.
