Posted on 02/11/2009 in Medical Government/ NHS related news Cook Medical has unveiled its latest offering to the medical equipment market - FluoroSet - which is intended for use in patients with fallopian tube complications.
The radiographic tubal assessment set, which consists of three products, is designed to deliver fast, easy, accurate fluoroscopic evaluation results.
It combines all of the features required to initiate contrast media for fluoroscopic evaluation of both the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes, therefore offering an optimal solution for the tubal occlusion diagnosis.
Christina Anne, vice-president of Cook Medical's Women's Health strategic business unit, said: "Tubal occlusion, or blockage, can have a severe impact on a woman's ability to conceive and it's extremely important that it is diagnosed quickly and accurately."
Other products released from Cook Medical within recent weeks include the six items it introduced in October for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease.
Among these was its Approach CTO microwires - the first .014-inch wires designed specifically for crossing chronic total occlusions and extremely tight lesions in the peripheral arteries.
