Posted on 30/10/2009 in Scientific Sartorius, supplier of scientific products, has released its financial results for the first nine months of 2009, which show that it is "on the right track" for future success, according to its chief executive officer Joachim Kreuzburg.
In particular, the firm's biotechnology division achieved strong sales gains and over-proportionate increases in earnings.
Its order intake stood at 303.4 million euros (271.9 million pounds) during the timeframe, representing an increase of 12.7 per cent compared to the same time in 2008.
However, the company's consolidated sales revenues were 444.7 million euros, compared to 453.4 million euros for the first nine months of last year.
Mr Zreuzburg continued: "For our customers in the biopharmaceutical industry, we are now excellently positioned as a total solution provider with a high proportion of innovative single-use products."
One of the most recent products launched by Sartorius is its FLI SealTester - a piece of equipment introduced on to the market in late October 2009 that offers safety and reliability by performing 100 per cent seal testing of items such as gas-flushed bags.
