Posted on 30/10/2009 in Veterinary Supplier News Allianz Animal Health has been singled out as a top insurance provider for one of the plans it offers through its trading name Petplan, it has emerged.
Which? - the independent consumer group - has bestowed its Best Buy award upon Petplan for its Covered for Life policy, which offers animals protection in the event of accidents and illnesses.
These also include recurring conditions such as diabetes and glaucoma, as long as the policy is renewed annually.
Petplan marketing manager Alison Andrew said that receiving the award "reflects how we treat our customers by offering excellent customer service, paying claims quickly, discounts on pet products and regular information about pet care through our magazine PetPeople".
The company is the largest provider of animal health insurance in the world and offers cover for creatures such as rabbits, cats, dogs and horses.
Petplan was purchased by Cornhill in 1996 and in 2003 the firm changed its name to Allianz Cornhill Insurance.
