Posted on 30/10/2009 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures Cephalon has recruited the expertise of Bob Repella, who will join its ranks as senior vice-president of pharmaceutical operations.
As part of his new role, Mr Repella will assume responsibility for the managing all of the firm's pharmaceutical and commercial operations, including sales, marketing and healthcare systems.
Before taking up his new post, Mr Repella worked as the vice-president and general manager of the biopharma business division of Wyeth, where he was responsible for its global products portfolio.
Robert Roche, the firm's executive vice-president of worldwide pharmaceutical operations, commented: "Bob brings a wealth of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical industry, which will be vital to Cephalon as we continue to expand into new therapeutic areas."
In other Cephalon news, the company published its financial results this week, revealing net sales of $535.2 million (326.5 million pounds) during the third quarter of 2009 - a rise of nine per cent compared to the same quarter of 2008.
