HDACs - enzymes involved in gene expression that are pivotal to every biological process in the human body - have been implicated in a number of diseases including cancer, central nervous system diseases.
More information is needed by scientists on these enzymes and Scottish Biomedical has now made them available globally for the first time ever through its range of specialist HDAC services.
The firm now offers the full human enzyme selection for purchase and in-house screening, as well as IC50 profiling and custom assay development.
Scottish Biomedical, which is based in Glasgow, specialises in biology-based research services and has so far worked with hundreds of clients around the world.
Its team of scientists develop and run assays, produce proteins and cell lines and identify and evaluate bioactive molecules.
