Eurogentec acquisition of AnaSpec completed
Eurogentec announced this week that its acquisition of the privately-held proteomics firm AnaSpec has been completed.
AnaSpec was established in 1993 and is a provider of integrated proteomics solutions for life science research and diagnostics.
Its expertise lie in peptides synthesis, labelled peptides and antibodies, fluorescent dyes and enzyme activity assays and the firm has developed one of the world’s largest collections of catalogue and dye-labelled peptides in the fields of Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis and enzyme inhibitors screening.
Jean-Pierre Delwart, chief executive officer of the Eurogentec, stated: “Our combined expertise enables Eurogentec to provide innovative solutions in the fields of genomics and proteomics for basic research in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as applied solutions in the diagnostics sector.”
Eurogentec, which was founded in 1985 as a spin-off from the University of Liege in Belgium, aims to design and deliver reliable and innovative products for the life science community.
